Sharing the stories from in, around and behind the scenes of the art world with the goal of helping artists and art institutions better connect with their current audiences and future audiences.
What started out as a personal, tongue-in-cheek TikTok account about visits to art museums and the discovery of new artists has turned into an engaged following of creators, curators and collectors.
Topics you’ll find on the @artmuseumsoftheworld account today are: Marina Abramovic commentary, Ai Wei Wei poems, tips for your next Vitra Visit and all the relatable feels, questions and thoughts that come up when experiencing the crazily wonderful art world.
Over the last year the Art Museums of the World account has morphed into a medium publication with interviews with artists and creatives from around the world. So far we’ve talked to Japanese art collective teamLab, Nairobi’s gallerist and art incubator Kioko Mwitiki, Alaska-born Kylie Manning and Turrell-inspired light artist Leo Villareal.
Next to the online spaces we curate offline marketing initiatives like:
An art vending machine during the Art Basel art fair week
Guided art tours at our favourite museums
An online and offline art book club (coming soon)
Today we help others like you do the same for their personal brand and their creative organization: find and connect with existing and new audiences, share their creative process, give a behind the scenes look of their little piece of art world be it conception, creation or curation.
Each individual and each organization is different, which is why we use a tried and tested methodology to co-create a tailor-made strategy with and for you. Setting you up for success with the tools to go on your own TikTok (and mixed media) journey.
Here is what our wonderful, crazy, creative clients (turned friends) say about us:
